The HAI-RO project seeks to remedy the shortcomings of the resources/digital instruments specially dedicated to literary research. The main result of the project will be the creation of a literary corpus written in Romanian (1850-1950) that is in conformity with the XML/TEI international standard of digital editing and that includes semantic annotations. The project will be accessible on an Open access basis and will be stored on the Nakala platform (France) and signaled on HAL-SHS. In accordance with its scientific objectives, the project will produce a schema and an annotation guide for spatial terms, both adapted to literary texts. The HAI-RO project is expected to generate at least two publications in international journals and one presentation in an international conference. The dissemination will take place through a research log uploaded on hypotheses.org.

1.Creating a corpus of literary texts in XML format, encoded in accordance with the TEI Lite standard. The texts focus on the hajduk hero from the novels, novellas and short stories published between 1850 and 1950;
2.The characterization of features inherent to ”hajduk literature” by means of adapting the specific instruments of corpus linguistics, stylometry and topic modelling will be completed with an analysis of the external features (agreements developed along the historical evolution of this literary genre);
3.The annotation, extraction and analysis with XQueries of certain semantic units (words, groups of words, phrases) that define space in ”hajduk literature”.
