The members of the project took part in training sessions at the Complutense University of Madrid and the University of Malaga in which they assessed the situation in the field of Romanian computational literary studies (CLS), operationalized some concepts from the field of traditional literary theory (literary genre, popular novel, paraliterature, canon, ekphrasis, illustration) by investigating the relationships established between peripheral and semi-peripheral literatures in the cultural context of the long 19th century (1850-1920), tracing the interactions between of the two cultures through the practice of popular novel translations and tested processing and analysis tools on the particularities of the modern literary Romanian language.
